Artist statement

Jeremy Stroup is an artist based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He graduated from IPFW in 2014 with a BFA in studio art, specializing in sculpture.

Jeremy’s most recent work has been focused on public art and illustration. His murals and illustrations depict wildlife, and nature, wildly decorated and infused with color. These pieces draw inspiration from mythology and religion, folk music, and contemporary culture. His works have been featured in his community of Fort Wayne, IN on various walls, sidewalks, album covers, and utility fixtures, and his botanical illustrations will soon be published in “Create Your Own Florida Food Forest,” by David the Good.

Inspiration for these works comes from mythology, nature, and time spent gardening. Jeremy has a passion for the care and conservation of land, and access to it for wildlife, citizens, and farmers.
